Common UTI symptoms include
- burning or pain when urinating
- needing to urinate more often than usual
- urinary urgency
- passing small amounts of urine frequently
- lower abdominal discomfort
- recurrent symptoms similar to previous UTIs
When an in-person assessment is needed instead
Fever, flank/back pain, vomiting, pregnancy, severe illness or rapidly worsening symptoms may require urgent in-person assessment. If your symptoms fit any of these, the doctor will tell you straight away and direct you to the right service.
When you need this service
This is for mild to moderate, uncomplicated urinary symptoms — the burning, urgency and frequency many people recognise — and for recurrent episodes that feel like previous UTIs. It is a fast, private alternative to sitting in A&E for something routine, whether you are here on holiday, working, or living in Spain.
How it works
From symptoms to treatment, all online:
- Describe your symptoms in the 1-minute consultation request form.
- I contact you on WhatsApp to arrange the consultation.
- We discuss your symptoms and check for warning signs.
- Pay €55 after we speak; when a prescription is clinically appropriate, it is emailed to you.
What you get
A focused private consultation and, where clinically appropriate, a private electronic prescription valid at pharmacies across Spain. The doctor will also explain the warning signs to watch for and when to seek in-person care. Treatment always follows the clinical assessment — your wellbeing comes first.
Can I get UTI antibiotics in Spain online?
Where your symptoms fit a mild, uncomplicated urinary infection, antibiotics can be prescribed after an online consultation and sent electronically for use at any pharmacy in Spain. Antibiotics are only prescribed when clinically justified; if an in-person urine test is safer, the doctor will tell you.
Is there over-the-counter UTI medicine in Spain?
Pharmacies in Spain sell over-the-counter products that can ease UTI symptoms (for example urinary alkalinisers and pain relief), but antibiotics for cystitis require a prescription. If your symptoms point to a bacterial urinary infection, an online consultation is a fast way to have it assessed.
