When you need this service
Travellers and employees often need written confirmation when illness disrupts work, school or travel plans. This service covers sick notes for work, school or university and certificates stating you are unfit to travel. It does not cover certificates of fitness to travel or fitness to work, which require an in-person physical examination and cannot be issued online.
How it works
A straightforward, fully remote process:
- Describe your situation in the pre-consultation form.
- Book with no upfront payment and have a short video or WhatsApp consultation.
- Pay €55 after you speak; your certificate is emailed to you, ready to forward to your employer or school.
What you get
A private medical certificate or sick note based on the doctor’s clinical assessment. Certificates can reflect symptoms from up to 2 days before the consultation when clinically justified, with a maximum coverage of 7 consecutive days. As with any consultation, issuing a certificate is at the doctor’s discretion and is not guaranteed simply by booking.
How do I get a medical certificate online in Spain?
Book a consultation (no payment to book), speak with the doctor by video or WhatsApp, and if a certificate is clinically justified it is emailed to you the same day. There is no need to visit a clinic — the whole process is online and available in English or Spanish.
Can I get a GP medical certificate or doctor’s sick note online?
Yes. This service issues private GP medical certificates and doctor’s sick notes online for work, school or university, as well as unfit-to-travel certificates. Fitness-to-travel and fitness-to-work certificates are not issued online, as they require an in-person physical examination.
